One of the things Donna and Tim noticed during their leadership careers was the astonishing number of agents (vendors, employees, leadership teams) that were not aligned with their principal (founder, board, leadership.) What economic sand organization studies calls “The Agency Problem.” This is why we were vehement that we were not building an agency. We wanted to build something that:

  • Had the goal of working itself out of a job; helpful, but not necessary on an ongoing basis.

  • Left the client better off and fully able to create sustainable growth from our work.

  • Is only engaged when there is a need, no MRR or retainer, pay as you want us.

  • Could create unique and impactful change from explorer experience in periods of disruption.

  • Allowed us to focus on outputs, integration, outcomes, and impacts.

With extensive experience in Change Management and Implementation Science we understand the importance of managing everybody’s unique traits, inclinations, and energy through the process of disruptive change. So many times, change fails because leaders believe they can just “will it to happen” by brute force and don’t recognize the varied communications and acceptance planning that is involved in planning and managing successful implementations.

Leadership Coaching is simply another extension of this same methodology. Change is tough, people will find ways to avoid it. We utilize data and observations to create a case for change from multiple inputs. When people understand how their behavior impacts the team and their career there is much more desire to make the changes. In our culture today people focus a lot on leveraging your strengths and that is a great first start. But every strength comes with a weakness, and every over-dependence on a towering strength creates impact that is counterproductive to what is being attempted. By doing behavioral assessments to align with culture and inclinations we are able to find synergies, align outputs, and grow.

Marketing is always evolving, and the market is always changing. Any marketing plan or strategy that is not founded in planning for and adapting to change will be irrelevant in a year. The marketing golden age of the 1960’s is gone. You can’t just have a great idea and some flashy content and rule the world. Implementing change is a full-time job in marketing.
